Hi, I am new to the Forum and own a 1996 Black LT1 a4. I recently rear-ended a buddy of mine and my front bumper from the license plate up to the piece that is closest to the hood. My hood wasn't touched thank god! The fiberglass cracked so tiny they look like scratches in the paint. I am wondering if anyone else has bought a new repro bumper for there vette? By the way I hit him at 10-15 mph and she held up AWESOME! My car doesn't even look that bad except the license plate got owned. Airbags didn't come out and no cops came.
There is no way to tell how much damage is really there without pulling the cover. There is a honey cone crash pad that might be wasted. Crash bar may have broke.
around $400-500 for a font bumper cover, but if you need to replace the whole bumper assembly, its more like $1100-1200. Good thing the hood was not touched, thats another $2k-2,500. Good Luck on the work!
