Default C3 longtime owner just picked up a c4...

Hi... I've been a proud owner of a 1980 c3. A couple of months ago I traded a thirdgen camaro project that I had for a 1987 C4. It smoke a little when I picked it up and the interior/exterior was pretty worn.

here are some pics...

I dropped off the c4 to my mechanic/buddy. He works on my cars and gives me a fair deal. He did a valve job and that took cae of the smoking issue.

The plan is to restore the body and paint the exterior Cyber Grey. For the interior, I'll buy a black interior kit (carpet, door panels and seat covers), probably from Wilcox Corvette.

Thanks.

The C3 is my vette that I've owned since I was 19 years old (about 14 years). I'm going to give my father the C4 as soon as its ready (January 2012). He is retiring soon and has always put his children's wants and needs ahead of his own. So, I'm going to surprise him with the C4 as a thank you present. I know him and my mom will enjoy it.

Default thanks but...

Thanks guys, but I can take the credit for the work done on the C4. My buddy does side work and has been doing a great job with my projects. He is highly skilled/experienced and treats my rides like I would expect him to treat his own ride. and... he does the work at a very fair price.

I can't wait to see my dad's face when I give him the car and he takes it for the first ride. Since we'll both have vettes, I'm hoping we can join a car club together.
