Default What stall do i want?

my mods are in my sig and i was curious as to what amount of stall and what make i would want. in the future (not near future) it will have mild headwork and a cam (probably something like a 305) and some 1.6's. Probably headers too. I did not know if this would influence amount of stall. My buddies recommend about a 2800 Vigilante or Yank convertor...
What do you all think?
by the way..this car will never see slicks...its gunna be 315 nittos...so no 6,000 rpm stalls hahaha

I would go with at least a 2600 Vigilante, if you dont like it, you can go higher or lower with them once for free i think

I'd say 2800 is about right for the street. If you go 3000+, your pushing the limits where your gas mileage might suck around town because you'll be reving up higher without stall.

Keep in mind that stall speeds are "approximate". A 2,600 stall on a mild motor will be like 3,200 on a heavily modified motor. I have a 2,600 Raptor and after about two days, I was completely used to it. It launches very hard with my mostly stock setup.(free mods, headers and exhaust)

On OBDI cars stalls over 3000rpms might cause some tranny problems with shifting, OBDII are okay.
I vote for vig 2600-2800:D
