I got a 1990 Corvette back in April and have loved it, first Corvette and wont be my last, but I have had some problems with injectors since i got it. But now i have a new problem. The other night a friend of mine was moving my car to the garage and she hit a tree root and was stuck on it. Made some horrible scraping noises. She backed it off kinda slow while it was still scraping on rocks and 2 roots. Once she got it off i drove it down the road and it didnt feel right it idles fine but once you put it in gear it starts to shake and make a rattle noise. Also when you drive through the gears its like it wants to pull but backs out a lot causing it to bounce a lot. It sounds really bad too. Anyone have any idea on what it could be and how it could be fixed?
Once my son called and said his car was making a funny noise and asked if I knew what it was. I told him to put his cell phone on the hood so I could hear. He did and I told him I was KIDDING because he didn't give me enough information to even guess.
The answer to your question is she could have damaged anything under the car in the path of whatever she hit. You need to look at your car and see if you can discern damage.
Oh yeah, the answer to my son's question was the AC fan. He'd never turned it on before. Mechanically inclined- no.
GADZOOKS man ....
sounds like your drive train took a beating on that one.
Possibly U-joint damages from the sounds of it.
I hope that is the worst of your problem.

Call us back after you take her check book to the place you are going to put the car on a lift, and report the results. Pictures would be nice. Of the girl, we know what the Corvette looks like.
What a user name!!! LMAO
what is GF Blind??? Sounds like a couple problems.
1.) Could of knocked muffler bearing loose.
2.) Could of bent fuel lines
3.) Kinked exhaust
only way is to jack up and verify damage
Another note guys, Fall is here, good maintanence idea is to change blinker fluid
all kidding aside, I really feel bad. With the damage done, It appears your car is missing. MAybe a fuel supply issue ( bent or kinked fuel lines) is a possibility. Also you could have some exhaust damage too. When your car is missing, with the accident, could of knocked one of your heatshields loose, and causes the rattle you are hearing while the car is missing. you have to inspect your car for the damage, only way to find out. Their is hundreds of possibilities
Thanks for the link. I just ordered two of their O Pipes for my dual exhaust car. Looking forward to better gas mileage and no more "drone" at cruising speeds.
