The switch is in the console at the base of the gearshift lever. Open up the console and you will find it. It is the only wire coming out of there other than the wires for the console lights.

has the backup light switch , P/N safety switch
and a P/N input to the ECM all in the one unit.
Most aftermarket shifters have 2 seperate micro switches for safety lockout and backup
