Re: Nitrous bottle storage in a 93 convertable? (red-y)
I purchased a 5lb bottle as I could not put the top down with the 10 pounder back there. I took a small piece of wood wrapped a black towel around it and mounted the bottle to that. Looked better. I don't have the wood mounted though as it fits pretty tight back there already. I have the bottle heater relay mounted on the wood too. Setup sits right behind the passenger seat and I can turn it on easily while I am driving and see my bottle pressure too. Can't get any better than that. I even unhook and hook up the nitrous line while I am driving for those "non nitrous street races" I get in sometimes

Thanks for the picture - I ordered a 5lb bottle and plan to mount in the other direction in the center if it will fit. :smash: My birthday gift to me.. :D
Re: Nitrous bottle storage in a 93 convertable? (red-y)
5 lb is the better choice in a convertible plus the angle of it can be upwards a little more giving better flow and the top can still be put down. I would however place it directly behind the passenger seat. It is so much easier to reach back with your right hand while driving or at a light when it is away from the driver's seat a little. In the middle might be tough to turn that far. Plus if you have pressure guage you can read it if it's behind the seat as well. Even at night I just turn on the interior lights and it luminates the pressure guage. Pretty cool.

SPD DEMON did have hos mounted pretty good on that picture. How did the N20 flow? Bottle does not look to angled. Guage would be real easy to read on that setup.

Thanks for the reply - Yes I agree after thinking behind the passenger seat will be better. NOS blue bottle but I am having it painted black. The blue color sucks with red and black. :D
