First technical question: Chris mentioned line-lock, but he's never used it personally.... I'd like to know if it's difficult to use? What's the process to disengage. Could anyone provide some general information on Hurst Roll Control operation?
Thanks All!
Its basically a solenoid and switch. you push the brake pedal like normal and when you push the roll control button the sloenoid closes a valve that holds the line pressure between the master cylinder and the front calipers thus keeping the front wheels locked. This serves two purposes. It allows one to powerbrake the car without all the stress on the rear brake components and on a manual allows the driver to take their foot off the brake pedal without the car rolling. I dont know if or how it affects ABS.
It will have NO effect on ABS.. just hook it to your front break line... step on the break pedal HARD.. then push the line-lock button...
Release the break pedal & nail the gas.. as soon as you see smoke from the rear tires let off the button but keep your foot on the gas and slowly let off.. sorta drive out of the burn out...
DO NOT do any dry hops .. go right to the start line...
