Hey everyone. I know someone has experience with up sizing tires. What is the biggest tire we can put on a 94 with factory sawblades??? I also want to know how hard it is to lower these C4's.... Thanks everyone!!!!
Although the 275/40-17's fit fine some have put 285's on the Sawblades. The rear lowering kit (2 Longer Bolts) takes about an hour if you take a 30 minute beer brake after doing one side. The front is a bit more involved. I had a lift and all the tools and the front took about 3 hours or approximately a six pack. I also put Bilsteins on while I was doing the job and they made a world of difference over the KYB's that were on there.
The lowering kits including all needed parts except the trim adhesive, can be bought from many of out sponsors or that big ole' auction site. Happy shopping.
If the sawblades are staggered I wouldnt put any wider than a 285/40/17 on the rear, as suggested already, but I would not go wider than 255 up front.
As for lowering, there are some good threads on here about lowering. The rear is super easy and doesnt require much dis assembly. The front is more involved and requires the whole spring to be removed.
