93 horn switch problem.

93 horn switch problem.
Well my horn wont blow. The problem is the brass contacts that are between the steering wheel and the plastic buttons. I went to my local dealer and they ordered the buttons. These were the plastic part only. They think I have to buy a new steering wheel to get the brass parts. I find this hard to believe since they are seperate from the steering wheel. Oh and a new wheel is $782.00 Any suggestions on fixing this? Thanks.

Which part are you talking about? This is an older pic ignore the circles...I just noticed Your name is reference to 86 and your question is for a 93...Guess I can't help you.

Which part are you talking about? This is an older pic ignore the circles...I just noticed Your name is reference to 86 and your question is for a 93...Guess I can't help you.
The horn buttons on the 93 are to the sides of the air bag. The brass or copper contacts, which are kinda springy, and they are not made onto the steering wheel. I knew I should have called 18 carfan but I was in a hurry since my inspection had died so I went to the local dealer.
