Chuck, if that were P/N 5720D780 it would be a Lucas injector for an '85-88 LB9. I don't show a listing for the ....D790 injector.

I ended up calling Rich @ Cruizin Performance, Gave him the description and part # and he told me which injectores I had.

Since nobody else replied to my post I figured I would answer it myself in the event somebody else was curious.

Okey, this subject is interesting for me. I am in middle of top end rebuild and I have ordered new injectors from US but they have been on their way for >3 weeks now and I am suspecting they will never arrive. As a alternative I am considering to get the old ones rebuild locally.

They are grey (the top plastic part) and silver (the bottom metal part). They have RP -logo (Rochester?) and the number are 9170 and 17086544.

Does anbody know if they are original for my '91 L98 or have they allready been replaced?

Thanks!

If they're being shipped "Surface", it can take 4 - 5 weeks. "Air" usually takes 10 - 12 days...

1990-91 5.7 (L98) Injector Kit, Fuel (Stamped 17086545) GM part # 17112285

According to the Y-Body Parts Manual, they're OEM injectors.

And they're $68.33 ea @ GMPartsDirect...

The store i bought them claims to have send then air priority...but who knows if he sent them at all. Soon I will have to contact Visa and make a complaint to get my money back.

i have usually received the shipments via air mail in 4-7 days so I am getting sceptical by the day.

Ok my second option is to take the old ones to a rebuild shop. With bosh style injectors shops usually change internal parts while rebuilding. What about Rochester Multec -type injectors, is there any parts to change?
