jesus, thats a monster, id be amazed if you couldnt run a high 11 at least
curb weight was listed at 3176lbs for a coupe, id imagine yours would be a bit lighter, but the only real way to tell is put it on one of those scales at a check station near a state border
1990 coupe (weighs slightly less than my 88 vert did with me in it); PPE built 396, 11.00:1 compression, Canfield 220cc heads seriously ported, custom Crane solid roller (248/254 on 114, .600"/.620" lift with Jesel 1.6 rockers). Converted single plane (now a MiniRam) ZF6, 4.09 gears. On slicks at Memphis Motorsports last summer it went 10.80 at 127... I would expect yours to be in the mid to high 11 range with a good hook. Since that time I've switched to a milder hyd. roller cam and the TPIS MiniRam...It still runs low 11's with a crappy 60'...

NO KIDDING!!! I can't even go to Memphis anymore with my car... I used to make a series of 12 second passes nailing the brakes at about 1200'; and then I'd run it out the back door on the last pass knowing I was gonna get booted. I didn't even get the 10.80 pass' timeslip, but a friend got in on vid! Now there's one tech guy at Memphis on the Thurs. night test'n'tune that KNOWS me and the car and won't even let me near the track... Rollcage is coming though; I'm tired of racing at the two local, dinky 1000' tracks because of the lack of the cage!

PS- My old 88 convertible ran 12.70's with its RHS 383 (crap motor) at Memphis and they never gave me a second glance...Funny....
A vert with a factory hard top and all factory hardware is treated the same as a coupe. Faster than 11.99 and the rollbar is warranted per NHRA rules. Without the hardtop, 13.99 is the fastest an NHRA track will normally let you run. Some tracks are still using the older 12.99 or faster rule for verts though, Ennis being one of them.
I ran 12.2-12.4 @ 116-117 on real street tires (Potenza RE-730's) with my mild 396 in a 92 vert. Depends on the track, the tires, the launch, the driver, and if you leave any parts at the line. High 11's were possible with slicks.
I live in Calgary ... so I race at RaceCity, the elevation is 3500ft, typically the air is 4000-5500ft, and the NHRA correction factor is .9565
So the cars are about 5-7 tenths slower than at a sealevel track. I hope to make a trip out to BC later this summer, at Mission the air is as good as -300ft! What track do you race at in Toronto? I have an uncle that lives in Sudbury, and I would love to check out the J&P shootout!
