Default Need suggestions please

Have an 88 vert and have a new motor just about finished but not in the car yet. What i'm wondering about is valve covers mine has the center bolt valve covers. My new motor is a 383 with AFR 195 heads and has scorpion narrow body roller rockers, the intake is a super ram. O yes the heads are set up for either perimeter or center bolt but with the runners its probably better to use the center bolts. I know the cover needs to clear the windshield wiper motor and such anyone have any suggestions on a set of nice valve covers that clears everything.

Thanks

I used some standard chromed GM covers. Not a real fan of chrome, but they fit, they had the red "bowtie" and thats about all that was important.
There are lots of tall, aluminum covers (that are way over priced) that have enough room inside for a loaf of bread....and its not really necessary. You can often make the stock covers work simply by grinding a little on the baffles. The covers that I used have plenty of room/clearance and they sit a good distance away from the wiper motor. I take it off all the time to study the mysteries of the harness that lives beneath. For ease of access and maint, I'd also stay with the center bolts. They do not leak as long as you use a rubber gasket and not a hard cork type. I bet I've had mine off 10 or 15 times with the same rubber gasket and no leaks...and I even have wire holders on the center bolts to hold the wires off the covers and heads. There are T handle bolts on mine so they stay tight and can be snugged or checked with each visit under the hood.

See whats in the GM performance wish-book...They used to have a section for all the Bow-Tie accessories that you could imagine...anything they could stick the logo on.

Hey thanks i'm looking around don't really care about the price as long as it clears the roller rockers and all the accesories. Thanks again
