Need tips on recording ob1 problem code on my 93 corvette
Hi I have a car that's been in storage with a bad battery for a really long time. now when I try to start it it turns over but doesn't start . I tried to get the problem codes by watching the light flashes on dash as you do for a ob1 car. The problem I have is there is so many flashes I always lose track somewhere along the line or I am not sure when the first number stops and the other code number is started. Can anyone give me tips on how to do this right? I'm thinking of using a calculator pushing a calculator key each time it flashes using one number then switching to anther key for the second number flashing. atleast that way I don't have to count them as they flash I can wait till the end. Anyone else have problems doing this? Or is there some tool that will give these codes easier but still be fairly cheap? Thanks Tim

You can do as I did and buy a scanner that will do OBDI and OBDII cars. I went that way as I have 1992 and 2002 Corvettes and a 2000 BMW M roadster and a 2006 Kia regular driver and our daughter has a 2000 Acura. It comes in very handy. Also for the 88 year old mother's 2002 Chrysler Sebring convertible and the neighbors cars. It is an AutoXray 6000 if my memory is correct. There are probably newer and different makes out now.
