Default Any recommendation for shocks?

I am going to replace all the shocks on my 1989 Coupe.

Does anyone have any recommendation for shocks? I don't want to go with just average shocks. Right now the ride gets very bounce when I'm going at higher speeds and go over a bump.....

The only Draw back about adjusting Koni's you have remove them from the car to adjust them.

I have mine in the middle setting so far I like them i had them on the car for a year now.
They cost about the same as Bilsteins.

QA1 you can adjust them on the car but they cost more cash.

Whats your budget?

I ask because you may want Koni and QA1 but, they are expensive. Id say stick with Bilsteins if your Vette is a driver.

The QA1 single and double adjuster ****(s) can be adjusted while mounted on the car.

Is that a pic of a coilover setup? If so what setup are you running?

Van Steele?

If it's not a coilover QA1 dual adjustable setup do you have part #'s for those shocks to be used with the OEM leafsprings?

Thanks

It is the Van Steel QA1 set up. I dont k now the QA1 part number but, I bet Google will
help you tremendously.

You can call Paul at Van Steel tomorrow, I bet he sells a QA1 shock set up for C4s.

Can you post some more pics of your setup.
How did you mount the front swaybar with the Van Steel setup, I understand it needs to be moved to clear the coilovers.

What coil spring rates are you running?

Do you autocross or race your car?

Do a search on my profile and you will find all information you need. There are three threads on that project. The sway bar was moved forward 5/8".

I have not taken The Ghost to the drag yet but, I do drive the crap out of it and participate
on other spirited runs, solo runs and Bomber Runs. Currently, Im working on it because I had a curve on my way home.

The coilovers are a great improvement over the monospring set up...they are amazing I can
only imagine what a set of Penskes or Pdaft would do to a C6 Z06

I have to learn to turn the damn ASR off everytime I go for a drive.

I went with aftermarket Bilsteins on my 86 ragtop...Affordable and the ride is firm but comfortable...

I replaced my KYB's with Bilsteins and have been very glad I did. IMO the Bilsteins are all you would need for 99.4% of your driving needs. The dampning seems to be perfect for a great street ride and for $380 or so they're hard to beat.

I'm not looking for coil overs but am looking for an adjustable for the weekend autox's.
