If you mean monospring (fiberglass) contact Van Steel (Paul). They sell three different types of monosprings for the C4.

To ID them, you can use the Vettes RPO. Are the ones in your Vette the stock ones?

Give this a try:

http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/...ion-chart.html

http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/...usp_chart.html

The stiffest one according to both charts is the 88-91 Z51 115.5 N/mm. Spring code FHB, the spring codes are stamped onto the spring.

I understand, linking to other Corvette forums is a kind of "bad" thing but it helps the OP out, right?

Won't fit a 84 -87 car.
Stiffest front for those is a BMB from a 84 Z51

I thought the same thing..........

be careful what you wish for....

A tip from someone thats done the stiffer F&R....
if its a track only car, fine, but if you plan on driving it on the streets...not a good idea. The stiff springs cause endless damage to interiors and humans from the impacts being transfered past the springs and to the softer contents of the cabin..

I don't know about harm to humans but you might want to check the screw that holds on your rear view mirror.

Rear springs interchange all years. Front only interchange from 84-87 or 88-96 as noted above.

I have a couple springs here . I still need more rate .
I do track days & time attack events with the car .
If they dont like the ride they can get out , I might be nice and even slow down a little .
I have found a few 84s , but two rates are available .
Van Steel is good ,But I really dont want to spend 400 for one spring .
I think they sell an adapter for there spring for an early C4

Any one know exactly how they are different (early compared to late)?

I was checking out the VB&P adjustable spring and it says it is for the late models only.

The 88 & up had a different rear end dimension by a few mm and a spring to match the width. Same basic design, just slightly different in how wide.

Where on the spring can I identify it ? Stamping or written ?
Is it possible to identify a spring package by VIN ?
Thanks

If I remember correctly there is a oval with three letters in it stamped/molded onto the spring.
