So I guess I have the 12 inch rotors. As I see it I have two options, use the Z51 rotors, calipers and brackets; or go to the c5 brake conversion. Which would be the better route to go?
Did you check the rpo codes to be sure you don't have the J55 option? If you have stock wheels that is your best upgrade as the C5 brakes don't fit behind stock wheels.
I have the C-5 brakes on my 96 VBP stuff ( Got last year on sale ) for what I do good set up . How do you drive the Vett street or what.. It's Ok set up way better that the C-4 stuff it had on it..I have good pads and new C-4 stuff in back..It's not a race thing just stops right now... Thinking about going C-5 in the back ,,adding another 100hp C-5s in the back should work if not, do over...Better way to go?? The C5s thing for the money street ride not bad..Some people like the C-4 brakes my 95 J55 good pads stanlees lines stops.. My 96 just won't stop ,,rebuild the brakes about got me killed ..gave it all away and put on the C-5 stuff ..It stops now....
I have real A-Moles on the 96 . No issues with these.Yes there can be clearance issues.. Have to get the mesurement from face of the rotor to the edge of the calper ..The C-5 setup.. to see what it is then see what you have on your wheels ..I think it's about 1/8---1/4 in not much if have a prom.. and I think a spacer will work if you don't have the wheels for the C-5 stuff.. I love mine for how I drive ..ZOOOOMMMMMM
Wrong .. After market or real C-5s ..Never guess when it comes to anything on Corvette.. Be smart and wayahead for the game ..Check it out first take 5min to make sure ...If going that way I can check mine and gave you a mesurement....

I checked mine 1 3/8s from the outside rotor to the outside calper.I have about 1/4 in to the wheel....from outside edge of the calper...If you don't have it a little spacer no big deal...Just have check it all out make sure you have it right...
