Default sport seat controls

I just bought a 94 coupe with sport seats. I pulled out and disassembled the seats and console to clean them. When I put it back together the drivers seat will move back and forth with the left switch on the console but when I switch the DR/PS switch to the passenger seat nothing happens. At first the 4 lunbar switches on the right side of the console would only operate the passenger seat. Now, when you move the DR/PS switch you can operate the lunbar controls on either seat but the forward/backward switch only moves the drivers seat no matter which position the DR/PS switch is in. Anyone ever seen this before or have any idea how to fix it?

under the driver's seat, you probably crossed some wiring. There's some black rectangular connectors -- everyone always wants to plug the yellow/orange bundle in to the corresponding plug with yellow/orange wires, but that's incorrect -- you need to swap the connections over so that the yellow/orange connects with the blue/green wiring.

You are describing the classic sport seat problem that usually emerges after the driver seat has been removed and replaced. Checkout the link below for a good discussion on how to fix the issue.

Thanks for the help. That fixed the problem!! Only GM would think to wire something so the opposite color wires hook up instead of the ones that match.

Glad you got it squared away Yep, it's a pretty stupid setup. I think it's got something to do with the changeover in the seat controls from 93 to 94.
