When I first bought my system I was thinking that when I pushed the button it would throw me back in the seat and just fly. Well I was half right. I does fly, but my 100hp shot doesn't push me back in to the seat any. But boy does that tach start moving. You get a totally different tone and it's impressive. Those shifts on my auto come ALOT sooner. I can't wait to take it out to the track next weekend and get some times. Thanks for all the help.
P.S. On a down note, the system does mess with my radio reception when I push the button  that's ok, the last thing I'm worried about is my music when I need to go fast :D
Did you warm the bottle??? And if you did what PSI was the bottle at? Well have fun and dont hurt the competition to bad!
I just got the wiring done this morning and I had to go to work, I drove around for about 15 minutes waiting for the bottle to warm up and it only got to the yellow line on my NX pressure gage.

Interesting. I noticed the same effect when I rode in a friends 327 Camaro w/a 4sp. and 4:56 posi, and then rode in a narrowed up 340 Dart w/a automatic. It didn't SEEM as fast as the 4sp. but the pavement sure went by as quick. Being a rookie, I would have expected the NOS to "slam" me in the seat like the 4sp. tranny did (even in an automatic), but based on the tach and the shift points increasing, it sounds like you're moving much faster, it apparently just doesn't FEEL like it. I wondered whether NOS would "hit" like a 4sp. but it sounds like it's smoother than that. I bet your times will improve, nonetheless.
hhmmmm i notice a huge difference when i hit the juice? but i am around 1000psi and 150shot and i hit the bottle at 1500rpm full throttle? i wonder if your blades on your throttle body are open all the way??? :)
No way. Something is not right. I mean with a 75 NX shot at 1000psi and a full bottle my car breaks the tires loose at 25-30mph if I have the switch on and then hammer it in 1st gear. I tried the 100hp jets and it hit really hard in second gear. Didn't even bother to try it in first gear. If you can't feel a 100hp to the wheels then something is definitley wrong. Check the pressure of the bottle, check the pressure of your fuel etc. I do not think I would ever go to the 150 shot unless I decide to go for 11's in the 1/4.

1500rpm is too soon, too much nitrous is getting pushed in at such a low RPM. hit it no lower thatn 2500, I have mine set at 3000
autos never "seem" as fast as manuals..just something about a solid gear and the clutch snapping that feels fast. kinda like a auto and 6spd running the same times...if you were the passenger in one, you'd swear the 6 was quicker

I let the bottle warm up a little more for general use and I can feel it now. I think that's what the problem was.
QUESTION: do you keep your nitrous going when you're shifting or do you cut it off, shift, and turn it back on?
I cut mine off manually just before it is going to shift. I always leave the car in D (if I'm going from a stop) or OD (when I am already rolling) when using the N20. I never shift manually on the bottle. Do not want to hit the revlimiter. This way I only have to conentrate on when to turn the interior switch on and off.
I cut mine off manually just before it is going to shift.
This should be done with a window switch. You set it up at what rpm's you want the nitrous to come on and shut off. great safety tool, turn it on at ~3,000 rpm, and shut it down a few hundred rpm before redline.

Well like i said i have sticky tires on my car with 3:73 gears and my car is a auto with suspension work and so what i do is put the car in "Drive" and then stall it at 900 rpm and then when the lite hits green at the track hammer down the gas and when i see 1500rpm i hit the bottle and away we go and i keep my foot down the whole way and keep the car in drive and as i a passing the traps i am 5000rpm in drive and i dont shift it manual at all! it makes for a good second and third gear scartch on the streets! :yesnod: So i dont know maybe my car is just tuff cause i have alot of nitrous miles and she is still running hard and beating to comp! Oh sorry i had to laugh about hitting the bottle to soon that was funny... But on the street i hit the bottle at 2100..so i hope that helps you out and maybe that is why i feel such a big difference in power because torque comes into play so early? :smash:
Hitting the nitrous as low as stated above will absolutely increase your risk of damage.
A work around for the nitrous coming back on in between shifts is a delay. I had one before I had the window switch. You would set it to delay the nitrous coming on by 2 tenths of a second (any time up to 1 second), while the car swiched gears.
Or you could just flick the switch and forget about all the complexity :D
When I first starting spraying, I had it start at 2500, it was hitting REAL hard, so I start at 3,000... makes me feel better :)
Not to stray from this thread but can anyone give me an idea how my car would run with nitrous! basically, i haven't run my car with the sc yet due to the clutch! I'm boosting 4# with a 6# kit (so i'm told) so any guesses on what i will run with the SC???? Ok, now take that and add 100hp shot what would i run then!!??? Just thinking ahead, that's all ;) :D Anyone think i would be better off without the SC and just getting Nitrous???? Personally, i feel the SC has taken some driviability away from the car so i look at like i only use the nitrous when i want and not all the time like with the SC!! Hope this makes sense!!

Ummmm, really frickn' fast..........probably not the answer you are looking for, but the truth none the less. I always thought that if you dropped the compression ratio and upped the boost that you'd get a quicker car, maybe something to think about. I believe that for every 100HP shot you drop your time by about .9 sec But of corse the more you add the less you drop off, and I'm not sure what happens once you start getting into the 10's. I think it's closer to 150 Hp = 1 sec if done right
