Default Which winbin ecu file do I need to read my 1988 bin?

I have successfully downloaded my stock bin to my laptop and then to my desktop via Craig Moates software. I have also downloaded winbin and the ARAP bin from Craig's site. I have the 6Ev009 ecu file and it reads the ARAP bin just fine, but clearly the hex locations are very different on my 1988 bin. Which ecu file do I need to read the old bin? THanks guys..I getting very psyched to burn my own chips :D

Hi Bob...

The stock 88 ECM uses the $32 id software. The $6E id software will run in your '165 ECM but the some of the data locations (and code) are different. You'll require the 32V????.ECU file to read your chip. I don't have a $32 ECU file for winbin. I went directly to the $6E code. It may be easier to find a similar stock $6E bin file (similar trans, gear, etc) and use it as a starting point.

Then again the mask may be $32B. You can get these at:

My '88 GTA is $32B but not sure about Y-bodies.
