Can you be a little more precise? Does this happen only when the door is locked,you unlock with a key,then open and it goes off?
Or does it do it anytime?
If only when you unlock it,If thats the case,you could have a bad door switch inside mounted to the keyhole.On my 86,if the alarm is armed and I unlocked the door with the key, the alarm would go off when opening the door.Going around to the passenger side and unlocking the door with the key would shut it off.
The fix was a new drivers door switch that mounts to the keyhole inside.The contacts were bad on the old switch.
Sometimes turning the key twice in the door would disarm the alarm.
Another possibility,the switch that mounts On the door area near the actual lock on the inside edge of the door,by the weatherstripping can be stuck.I think someone had this problem and it affcted the alarm and he replaced it.I thought it only affected the Door ajar illuminuation on the dash but im not positive on certain models.
See if thats stuck or broken.
