91' with low tach reading

91' with low tach reading
I have a MSD 6AL hooked up and I get a low reading on tach then it will go way up when I rev it up but never steady. Is it bad tach? If so cheaper to used one then fixed? Thanks

Are you using original tacho hookup or the tach output from the MSD?

I have rewired computer...long story, but it used to work fine with MSD. I am just restarting and trying to finish. Has been a problem for a while. I am using MSD output for tach. Thanks
