Does anyone know the part number for the spare tire hanging bolt assembly for my 1994 coupe? The flange that positions whether the spare hangs high or low has snapped off. Anyone have one???
Now that I checked it. The bolt seems to be alright. It's what it screws into that seems to be broken. The bolt is totally frozen and I can't unscrew it though. Any suggestions?
Yep, it's the bolt that the plastic tire carrier hangs on to, but like I said, the bolt is alright. The problem appears to be the bracket it screws into. I think that's the part I need.

Looking at my car, the bolt doesn't really screw into the bracket. The "nut" is on the top of the bracket; looks like the rounded bar on the bottom of the bolt near the head (the bar that fits into the tire tray) except it is threaded. The bolt goes through a hole/slot in the bracket and screws into the top "nut". The bracket holds the "nut" and keeps it from turning.
Is yours stripped (does it turn but not unscrew); or is it frozen (won't turn at all)???
I fixed the problem. The bolt was slightly rusted and really stuck in the threaded sleave. After using a little WD-40 and a vise grip, I was able to unscrew the bolt enough to allow me to hang the latch on the upper bracket, thus raising the tire carrier. Once up on the upper bracket, I tightened it up real snug. I removed the license plate to get a better view of the latch and bracket. Once I did that, it all came clear.
