Hello everyone.....I have a 1993 Corvette with the Original Goodyear Eagle GS-C tires on it that I should probably replace.
Here is my situation.
A couple of years ago I picked up two BRAND NEW Goodyear Eagle GS-C Front tires (Non EMT) and tucked them away. My question is, Can I mix Goodyear Eagle GS-C's, EMT and Non EMT tires?
I know Tire Rack sells NEW GS-C's but they are EMT's.....
I think it would be okay but would like some opinions....Thanks alot..
IMHO I would never use a Goodyear product again. Too many bad experiences with these tires on many different vehicles I have owned including the 'vette. I'm presently running Pirelli's (for the last 17 years) but you can't get them for the 'vette anymore according to the Pirelli website. (Great calender this year) I have run Michelin's for many years with great success on my other vehicles. I would save myself a few hundred bucks and try the Michelins all around. Just MHO. Good Luck.
My '92 went through 2 sets of GS-C's, but now wears BFG Super Sport A/S. The Goodyears were pretty cool technology, what with lefts & rights, as well as being a directional tread. But the science is now over 20 years old, and they are obsolete. Not only that, but these tires have not been made for years, and your "new" tires probably have an old date code on them. I would not advise using them at all, especially mismatched with EMT tires.
The BFG's are quieter, ride better, and are reasonably priced. There are also others who will recommend their favorites. Do yourself a favor and buy 4 new tires.
