Default 1990 convertible interior modification

Good Afternoon.
I have my entire interior removed to install sound deadening matting and thought of something different to make the interior standout in a crowd. I was thinking of dying the dash and windshield pillars to match the main color of the interior, the car is white with a red interior. I was thinking of leaving the driver’s area black, and doing the area of where the glove box is and the front flatter area on the driver’s side in the red. I have not been able to find any photos of this being attempted before and was hoping that someone on the site may have done or seen something similar in the past, not even necessarily the same color.
Having the driver’s area almost as a black pod with the balance red I think will look great.
Any comments and/or feedback would be appreciated.
Mike

I'm not sure I'd do the dash in red. Keep in mind that you will have a red reflection coming off the inside of your windshield when the sun is overhead. That red "glare" could be a problem.

Painting the windshield trim red you might be able to get away with, although, it might look a little strange with the black visors and mirror.

Personally, I like the interior just the way it is. GM paid some college grad with an interior designer's degree a lot of money to design that. He must have known what he was doing . Besides, I'm a little partial to white 1990 Corvettes with red interiors.

Your interior looks great. Wanna trade seats?

Your interior is beautiful. I would leave it nice, as it is. Why destroy perfection?

Good Morning All,
I wanted to update my posting with a photo of the interior change.
So far it is coming out the way I thought it would. Still need to put the door panels back on and do a good cleaning.

The dash actually looks pretty good. I'm surprised that the red covered up the black like that.

The red dye is nice.. In my opinion.. now you have to much red
I think black seats & the black dash would have been a great visual balance
