Starting problem with 84
I've searched for this or a similar topic but didn't find anything, hope I'm not going over ground covered already. My friend's 84 will not re-start if he shuts it off after driving for awhile. Engine will crank, just will not run. If it sets for a little while it will not start again until he waits for 10 - 15 minutes. He just bought the car and had it tuned. Shop replaced the plugs, wires and distributor cap, fuel/air/oil filters. Also had the intake manifold gasket and valve cover gaskets replaced because they were leaking. Suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I think you guys need to check the basics first. Spark, Fuel. Make sure you hear the fuel pump kick on when you put the key in the "ON" position. I had a fuel pump go out on me on my 85 and did that same thing you are describing. Oh and check and make sure the wires are snug to the dist cap.
