Need to adjust auto trans shift points

Default Need to adjust auto trans shift points

Is there a way to adjust the transmission shift points without digging into the transmission? My 92 LT1 shifts into second almost as soon as you start moving. Clayton

There is only one correct position for the TV cable that controls shifts

If you don't like the stock shift points then into the trans you go

I believe a 92 has the 4L60 without the "e" which means the shift points are controlled by the tv cable and the governor. If the tv cable is ok, you can use lighter springs on the governor to delay part throttle shifts. You don't have to go into the tranny to access the governor, just remove the round cap on the driver's side. Willie
