thats what i figured as much, because i read that the lt1 are in the 91 or 92 + models... and i was just taking a wild guess that the TPI meant tune port injection... but yea... im just wondering why i cant take off that disc... on the second picture, i took it shows how far i was able to get it out before it didnt move anymore? and when i move it, it feels as though the crank moves forward and makes that clunk sound in the back of the engine...

OK; YOU SAY YOUR USING THE CORRECT PULLER FROM THE PICS. I'M GOING TO ASSUME YOU REMOVED THE RETAINING NUT AND WASHER THAT HOLDS THE HARMONIC BALANCER ON ;AKA DISC; WHAT I DO ,AFTER REMOVING THE RETAINING BOLT AND WASHER I RE-INSTALL THE BOLT ONLY INTO THE END OF THE CRANK,THIS IS TO PROTECT THE THREADS IN THE CRANK AND TO GIVE THE POINT ON THE PULLER A SOLID BASE TO SET ON. MOUNT THE PULLER ONTO THE BALANCER USING AS SHORT OF BOLTS AS POSSIBLE. THEN RUN THE PULLER IN TILL IT HITS THE BOLT THAT YOU RE-INSERTED INTO THE END OF THE CRANK. AT THIS TIME MAKE SURE THAT YOUR PULLER IS MOUNTED SQUARELY TO THE BALANCER SO WHEN YOU START TO PULL OFF THE BALANCER IT PULLS STRAIGHT NOT COCKING TO ONE SIDE OR THE OTHER. THEN SLOWLY START TIGHTENING THE PULLER (THIS WOULD BE THE LARGER CENTER OF THE PULLER) YOUR BALANCER SHOULD START TO MOVE THEN KEEP TIGHTENING TILL IT FALLS OFF AND LANDS ON THE STEERING RACK.GOOD LUCK

If the above (mtmanut's post) doesn't work, get a 1/2 inch ratchet and a 2 foot breaker bar and tighten the frick out of it. Then take a large diameter punch and a big **** hammer and send some shock waves through the balancer to the snout. The punch is so you can avoid damaging the balancer. Hit it 7 or 8 times. Tighten it up and repeat.

If that doesn't work get a propane torch and heat the snout and repeat above.

Disclaimer: using the above methods may break the tool or the balancer, but hopefully it will break the interference fit first. Use at your own risk.

So that may be what is holding the balancer on ( as it is supposed to )
Which could account for why you moved balancer forward so far and then it stopped.
Puller should have a a insert that fits in the front of crank to prevent threads being damaged
you don't use the bolt

NB ; once a balancer is cracked free from the crank ,
it seldom jams up again
