Default Lugnut Extractor?

Still trying to get this last lugnut off. It must be the threads as the lugnuts exterior isnt rounded at all. Anyone know of any lugnut extractor tools that would work? Im trying not to damage the rims-c5 zo6 wheels.

Went to Autozone and bought a pack of nut extractors. They are made by Irwin Tools. Weren't cheap but they were the only ones that worked for me. These have a reverse "claw" to grip the bolt tighter when rotated counter clockwise.

I tried a couple of different ones - even the "loaner tool" from AZ. Tried impact gun. Eventually had to use the Irwin extractor with a 1/2 breaker bar and a long cheater pipe. Stood on it and bounced (225 lbs). It worked.

........ Have someone pull on the wheel while you unscrew the offending lug nut ..... ...... its best doing this with an impact ......

Is the stud turning in the hub?

Be careful pulling on the wheel and trying to turn it, you could gall the wheel up. Steel nut, aluminum wheel....I wouldn't do it.

How about securing the wheel with two other lugnuts, then put a strong socket (like an impact socket) on the bad one, and a breaker bar in it, possibly a length of pipe on the bar, and apply your best red-faced grunt to snap the lug off.

Stud is not spinning. Ive been looking at a few different tools online like the craftsman lugout-though Im not sure if thats meant for stripped lugs-seems to be more for lost keys.

For the past few days Ive been sweating this issue though now Im starting to think it might be a lot easier to just break ths stud so I can at least get this wheel off and install the new rotors, pads and lines as well as bleed my brakes. THis is the last one I have to do to finish up my brake job then afterwards I was thinking I should be able to just take the car to some shop and have the stud replaced. Ive got c5 z06 rims on and the lugnut and stud doesnt stick out of the wheel that much. How hard would it be to just break the stud off? Doesnt everyone think Im going about this the wrong way or does anyone think this might be the way to go instead of wasting time looking for some tool that might not work or trying to beat the thing off? As always I really appreciate the input.

I'm with ya bro. The lugnut is a lot cheaper than the wheel. But I wouldn't break it by driving it around as was mentioned. I would probably drill it out with continualy bigger bits til the stud collapses. Nice and slow and with some oil and good strong bits. Seems like that would protect the wheel anyway.

yea driving its not even an option-still gotta bleed my brakes plus Ive gotta service my tranny(4+3) :/
what about a breaker bar with some force? ive never dealt with broken studs before so Im really not sure how much or hard it is to break one.

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I would definitely snap the lug off. Reread my previous post, #5.
