I hear you guys talking about the open air lid. But I have know idea what you are talking about. can anyone show me some pics. of one that`s been cut? If so, I would really like to see it. That is one of the mods I have been wanting to do to my vette, but don`t know how to or understand what it is I should cut. :confused:
yeah, do like the pic shows above. You just remove your air filter lid and cut a big hole in it so that the K&N filter is exposed to the air, allowing you to use ALL of the filter and get the most air in you can.
This is a lid for a LT-1 but the L-98 is the same idea.

I used a dremel on mine. Some have said they used tin snip, a hacksaw, what every you want. I bought a used lid from RedRocket (thanks again) and cut it myself. Saved my original in case I wanted it later.
