Ported intake manifolds
I recently just bought headers for my 90 and was thinking about bying a ported TPI setup. My engine is stock but I do have muffler eliminators and not cats. I autocross the car and would like some more power but don't want to lose the torque that the TPI has to offer. What are your thoughts on getting an aftermarket intake that has been ported? I figured it would be a nice power gain from where I'm at now once I would install the headers and the intake manifold setup.

You are going in the right direction. Would be nice to do the Cylinder Heads also cause you are getting more/smoother air in through the ported intake and runners but then when it hits the heads and those rough and small ports it kinda kills it. Kinda like pouring air into a megaphone then it comes out the other end into a straw. The headers are a great idea. Keep rolling
