Transmission Issues

When I'm shifting from Reverse to Drive, sometimes my transmission won't catch immediately and I got to sit there and wait for sometimes a 30 seconds or so. When I push the pedal during this time, the engine just revs like it's in neutral.

What could be the cause of this and how much am I looking at spending?

2 quarts of tranny fluid sometimes fixes this.

correct if fluid is a little low or parked on a slope it will cause that also if the seals are hard in the tranny it will do the same if it works good other than that try some lucus
