Distributor problem
I have a 1985 Vette, mild cam, headers, set of heads, 6 speed, I do not race, a toy for the weekend drives, What need to know what is a good mechinal distributor. My stock Dist can handel the cam advancement. The motor was rebuilt about 9 months ago.
Could I change the weights in the stock Dist.?

Your car has an HEI distributor and it should not have a problem with any cam..What do you mean it won't handle the cam??.These cars us an electronic advance, not vaccuam. We need more info...WW

Also, if you changed the cam and heads you should have a new tune done.. Anytime something major is done to these motors you have to get a new tune to compensate for the changes...WW
