Default ceramic brake pads

Doing a brake job on my 35th. Have never used ceramic pads before and were wondering if they will leave less residue on my white wheels than other pads. Only drive this car a few hundred miles a yr., so it is hard to justify the cost.

Yes, there will be less dust than with regular pads, but it will still be there. I've got chrome ZR-1 wheels, and I wipe them down regularly. If your wheels are not chrome or highly polished, the dust wouldn't be quite as noticable.

Default Ceramic will be the better choice

I have Ceramac Pads on mine and have been very pleased.
I have Black Grand Sports wheels on mine and put less than 1000 miles a year on it. I have not seen any type of noticable build up.

I am running C5 front brakes with the ACDelco ceramic pads, there IS dust buildup, but it's a very light gray color, and cleans easily.

I have Bosch ceramic pads/solid rotors. About 40,000 miles on them, including a lot of track days and no dust at all.

Thanks for the input. Think I'll go with the ceramics. Sounds like they will be a little cleaner.

I have the Carbotech 1521 pads on my J55 equiped daily driver 87.
They stop good when it's cold and on the street have I've never had any complaints about them. No noise at all. The dust is very light and grey. At 4years the pads and rotors don't show hardly any wear.
I would get another set.
