Default 92 lt1 running rich

I have a 92 lt1 that is bone stock, over the past couple weeks it has started to run richer and richer to the point that now its starting to smoke as well, I have some ideas but before I start working on it I figured I'd get some advice on what everybody thinks the problem could be, I'm not extremely familiar with the lt1's but I'm learning so any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

I would guess you may have one or more malfunctioning injectors that are allowing too much fuel into the car. However, if it is running as rich as you say it should be putting out a code for the O2 sensors detecting a rich condition. Do you have any codes? My 1992 had a bad ECM that caused it to think the car was running lean. To compensate it upped the amount of gas through the injectors and caused it to run a bit rich. You may look into the ECM outputs to the O2 sensors. It should put out about 1.1 volts to the sensors when the car ignition is on but the car is not running. The 02 sensors will cause that voltage to fluctuate. Below about 440 mv is considered lean and over 440 mv is considered rich.
