Speedometer Not Working!!!! Help!
Hello all, I am new to Corvettes and to this forum. I've previously owned turbocharged tuners (DSM) and always wanted to own a Vette.
I came across a very good deal, and couldn't pass it up. A 1992 Vette, green on tan, it's a fixer upper, but she runs excellent.
When I bought the car, the dash was in and out, sometimes it would come on, and sometimes it would not. I replaced the dash, and the sensor that goes to the transmission (can't remember the name, tps I think).
The dash now works, and every blue moon, the speedometer would come on, briefly, then go off after shutting the car off (it's only done this twice). I had it checked out, and the mechanic told me it was the ccm (he thinks). I'm somewhat sketchy about this diagnosis so decided to join, and see if you guys (and gals) could help me. How do I go about diagnosing this issue? Could someone point me in the right direction to fix this problem? I would appreciate any help you could give me.

Anything involving the CCM is not likely to be solved by a quick answer online.
Really need the factory service manual with it's extensive diagnostics for fault finding
Must be the 2 book FSM set ;
The 8A 2nd book has all the elec system in detail

If you do a search you will find a bad connection on the cluster plug or bad grounds are the most common mentioned problem with late C4 IP

So confirm IP is working correctly before looking at CCM problems
If you pull the error codes
