Code 12?
My son's 92 had a hard time starting about a week ago. after it started, it ran rough for about 10 sec or so. After that it ran fine until tonight when it stalled at a light. He said he smelt fuel. We checked the codes and it read code 12. However, there is not code 12 on GM's code sheet. http://www.troublecodes.net/GM/
I don't think it was code 21 because there was a long pause, then 1 followed by a short pause, then 2.
Any suggestions?

Ah, wait, don't answer that. I just read on anothe rsite that code 12 is a delimiter. The code(s) after three sets of 12 and befroe the last three sets of 12 is the error code. Back to the car again...

That is correct. Code 12 is not a trouble code. It signifies the beginning and ending of the code reading process. Any codes in between the two 12's are trouble the codes. If no trouble codes are present, all you will see is a 12 repeat itself.
