Default Yet another LT1 rebuild ;-)

Last year I pulled engine and trans of my 93 model C4. The originally plan was to bore and hone my own block. But I ended up with a 383 short block from Golen Engines and TrickFlow 430 HP LT1 top and cam kit. Transmission (TH700R4) was delivered to a local workshop for overhaul and strengthen. Engine is done (some minor work yet to be done before engine is going back to car).

Last year I got new 32 lbs injectors from FIC, Melrose longtube headers and 3" BB Triflow exhaust.

Hopefully the package will produce close to 500 HP on engine ;-)

The build is blogged about here: http://thomas-chevy-c4.blogspot.com/

You must be really getting the itch to start and drive that thing. Your blog is very nice, going to take time later to look all through it. Thanks for posting and good luck.

That is a really nice blog, nice job. Good luck with the project! Looking forward to see what the real world Trick Flow numbers look like. I'm considering the same package for my 93 coupe.

Thx very much;-) I will get the trans next week from the workshop. There is still winter and cold up here north and it is too cold in garage for putting engine+trans back in car.. The plan is to be ready late March for first start of engine...

Mike
Trick Flow claim 430 HP and 400 ft lbs torque head and cam kit on stock LT1 (with 52 mm throttle body).. I have a 383 stroker, new tune from PCM4less and 32 lbs Bosch design III injectors from FIC. Compression is also slightly increased to 11:1.

If everything is working as expected I should see close to 500 HP on engine ...
