I am wanting to change over all of my interior lights to UV (Black light) LED's. All of them except for the map light. I went to superbrightleds.com and saw that there are several options for some of the bulb locations, so if anyone could give me definitively what bulbs are in the car (or can point me in the right direction or thread) that would be awesome. Car is a 92 targa top. Thanks!
corvettehid sells led interior kits for C4's. He may have them in UV or would at least know the bulb types.
I'm not gonna lie; they are kind of pricey... I can get my bulbs from the site I posted for 30 bucks vs 90... I'm a college student and on a budget, so every penny helps...
So I am at this Corvette graveyard North of Tampa and saw a few vettes with dashboard fires, and it got me thinking... The passenger footwell light is in very close to wiring for computers, stereo, and doors right below where the radio control box is. The top of the light housing bulb is exposed to these wires and I bet this is where a few of those dashboard fires started. I disconnected the footwell lights until I get LED bulbs which run much cooler.
I replaced most of my interior lights with leds, what i did was measure the light housing with a pair of calipers and put as much as i could in them. refurbished the housings and sprayed them bright gloss white. most bulbs have either a t10 base or a 10 mm festoon. do a ebay search for leds and you will find a lot most come with both type of bases. it has been a while but its something like 36 led square for the hush panels and 40 something for the rears. i counted one time and i have over 300 in total. don't do the cluster with leds though, tried that and didn't work out. soderd my engine bay lights because the housing was melted. It has been 2 and a half years and the cheap ebay lights still work. used a 4 led super bright waterproof bulbs for the engine bay and spare tire carrier. next is the running lights to led but need some quality types for that.

Saw heat damage in the same area when I had that part of the dash out recently replacing a heater core. You can drop the hush panel and ziptie the wires up further and that would help. My guess is the heat damage was caused by the interior lights being on for a long period of time like door open, cleaning interior, etc.
