I locked my keys in my C4
So last night I got home super late which resulted in my keys getting locked inside my Vette. I called AAA and it took the guy about an hour to finally get the door open. His first attempt took him about 45 minutes and was comprised of putting a block between the window and the door and using a slim metal bar to try and open the door. His final attempt which finally worked had him push a long thin piece of metal through the window which was able to get to the lock and unlock the door. I am worried that his 45 minutes of playing around behind my door panel could have messed something up. How easy is it to screw something up while trying to do what he was doing?

CSAA (Northern California and Nevada AAA) will make you a credit card
key for free. It's the size of a credit card, and the door key flips out.
Not being able to lock my keys in is one reason I installed a remote
keyless entry system.
I would make sure that everything in BOTH doors works starting by
putting down the windows (so you can't lock yourself in). On my '87
this would include electric door locks, electric windows, wipers and
washer, the hatch release, and the courtesy light in the door. Why
both doors? IIRC the wiring is interrelated and goes through both doors.

I played this game just today infact! Managed to get the Vette out of the garage and was letting her idle her get up to temp when I thought I'd just go and close the garage door... come back and realised the Vette's door was locked.
I must have looked pretty silly breaking into my own running car on the driveway.
