A burned out bulb or bad connection will do this.
This happened once on my '87 and I tracked the problem down to the right front light. I pulled the bulb & the filament was fine. I put it back in and all was well---just pulling & reconnecting it improved the connection enough for it to work.

One of the left turn signal bulbs is probably burned out.
They are dual filament bulbs, so you'll still have parking lights.
If the bulb is burned out, the turn signal flasher (what you hear clicking) won't work.
Also, this isn't anything specific to Corvettes.
Every GM car I've ever owned worked this way.

Try the 4-way flasher mode and see how that works.

Tried this yet? This uses a different flasher than the turn signals & may help identify the bad bulb (if that's the problem).

Turn the ignition on, push the signal lever down, walk behind the car and see if the rear light is on. If not, change the bulb and get a job.

My 85 is doing the same thing. I thought I was going to have to replace the flasher but I will check all bulbs first with the four ways. That was something I had not considered.

On, the record, I wasn't being a smart ***. Just my attempt at humor.
Remove the two phillips screws on the side of the outside lens, remove the lens and change the bulb. Then move to another town and get a job.

My bad. My original lights are up in the attic with my brain. My newer lights have screws.
