Default Crime Guard Keyless Entry Install

I'm installing a Crime Guard REC-11 Keyless Entry system in a friends 1990 Corvette. The interface to the door locks looks pretty simple.

However, what is the best way to integrate with the factory alarm system? I'd like the keyless entry system to arm and disarm the factory system.

Is it as simple as applying 12v to the factory system? I think the Mid-America keyless system has a wire that connects to the green alarm system wire (it's supposed to arm and disarm the factory VATS system).

Anyone have any experience with this?

I posted some questions about keyless entry on the General Discussion are by accident. There is a link ther of a guy that did a GM keyless entry and explains a lot about what he did complett with schematics. It may or may not help you.

Thanks for the info. But, it looks like the GM keyless system has a connection made to hook into the factory alarm system.

Anyone have any experience hooking up a non-GM keyless system and integrating with the factory alarm?

Thanks!
