A/C problems...it's getting hot in Texas.....Automatic controller bad??
Sorry for the long post... My '92 coupe has some problems with the A/C and sometimes the heater too. I believe that the automatic climate controller might be bad, but I am not sure. When I turn the temp all the way to 60 deg., the A/C does not cycle, or blow cold air. The fan speeds work fine though. I jumpered the low pressure freon switch, but still no A/C. I did check the pressure with guages, look to be OK, considering the compressor will not run. Any ideas??? I did notice last night that when I turn the heater all the way to 90, I am not getting hot air either.  Does anyone know if the controller can be rebuilt? Thanks in advance..

I don't know if it'll help cuz it was the opposite prob(I don't recall if the A/C blew cold or not-sorry-), but I'll throw it out there since it shows the controller: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=202649 www.idavette.net/tech/c4diag.htm
also do a search the archives on your topic. type in climate control and lots of good info comes up.

The first thing I would do is check the fuse for the compressor, then I would disconnect the battery for 5 min then reconnect and see if it runs good luck Jim
