I was on my way home tonight, it had just rained and coming out of a right turn my battery light came on.
I checked my voltages only to see 11.7 volts. I'm guessing this means my alternator just gave up or something came loose.
What's the first thing I should check?
I was gonna wait tell tomorrow morning and see if the car starts and if it starts charging again.
If not I was going to pull the alt and take it to the local O'Reillys for testing.
I've never done this before I just want to make sure I'm taking the correct course of action.
I've been having intermittent starting problems in the passed month.
On your car the Alt and the gauge are connected direct to the battery
Solenoid terminal is only for starter
However if Batt or Alt are faulty; could give the starter problem you have due to lack of juice
