I used it on my seats, since they didn't have any straps present when I bought them (used). It raises the seating position up a few inches, and makes the seat much firmer.

Thanks. Do they go up at the headrest or lower on the back of the seat?
My headrests are lower than the plastic back of the seat and at first I thought I would need to replace the foam but that's not the case. If I push up on the headrest of the seat it fits perfectly. I just need something to keep it there.
The foam under the leather does compress and deteriorate over time -- you might be able to find an upholstery shop that could re-stuff that area of the headrest to bring it higher up. I'd probably suggest taking the seat out, and removing the back cover to see what's really going on where you can't currently see.
Not sure, I've never taken one apart. Probably want to post a new thread asking about the headrest problem, you'll get more helpful traffic that way. Also the year of the car is important, so include that in your post.

Sounds like someone took it out and couldn't get it hooked back. There are clips on either side on the plastic seat-back. On the seat-back foam, there are areas of exposed rods (foam support frame) that slip into the into the clips on the plastic seat-back. Here is a good thread with pictures.

Ah ha. You are correct, sir. Thanks for the help. I appreciate it.
Thanks. Very useful info. It appears that the previous owner swapped the driver and passenger seat backs because the passenger seat actually shows more wear than the driver's seat.
