Default Code 32. (egr)

Well took the car out for a run today before it goes to paint...Car ran great was able to cruise for a bit at 90mph... Then I got a code 32.. I ran a data stream while driving... And noticed the egr valve would fluctuate between 0% and 38% at all speeds.. Even under heavy acceleration... My Mac task master states it should fluc between 0% and 100%...light triggers randomly but always after heavy acceleration and I let off the gas...

History of the car.. I purchased it last last week... PO hasn't driven it much.. It sat for 3 yrs in his garage... Last December he registered it.. Replaced opti, battery,ECM and fuel filter... So since he took it out of storage to sell he has only put 30 miles on it... I put 65 miles on it today...ran fine except for the code 32... Also the exhaust smells rich..

Thoughts opinions??

Also can anyone tell me where the egr valve is located on my 1992...should I replace.. Could it be stuck because of carbon.. Can it clear itself??

Any help would be appreciated..thank you..

The EGR is located on the intake manifold, driver's side rear.

Replace it then you won't need to worry about it.
