Default Weatherstripping??

Well car went to body shop for paint today.. So need to order some weather stripping... Door seals look good.. But need coupe front and back roof seals.... Anyone familiar with a particular vender that sells them as a kit?? And won't break the bank??..

Seen prices all over the place from $80 to 200.

Thoughts opinions..

Wilcox. Not OEM quality, but great product for the price.

No...BETTER than OEM...especially since OEM seals have been gone for years now.

I just had the complete set installed on my coupe a few months ago...the body shop will hate you but you'll be glad if you do it.

The doors won't "just" shut anymore on mine. The door seals are exactly like it was when I got it new...I've got to slam the door shut to compress the seals. Same with the rear hatch seal, and THAT is FAR better than the OEM one was. The body shop said it was the best seal kit for a C4 Corvette they've ever seen.

Had to feel sorry for the guy who had to do all the scraping & sanding to get back to a bond-able surface...took him 2 days just getting all the old ones out

Just didn't want him to think it was identical to OEM. I have no complaints with my Wilcox stuff, just not the same as the factory weatherstripping. It is a little thicker and not quite as supple. Also, the hatch piece has a reinforcement in the corner to prevent separation. I didn't even use the adhesive to seal mine yet (replacing cracked window soon) and it seems to work fine.

be careful and inspect the new seals around the hatch and make sure the weld is good, mine failed in less than a month after putting it on.

It did not look great out of the box but I had already removed mine so I was stuck using it.
