1985 Bose drivers door amp
Will have some fun today removing the Bose amp box from my 1985 to install new amp. Did this same thing 18 years ago. Hope I remember enough from the first experience to complete the job and not break anything. Remember a lot of electrical connections have to be separated.

Sorry. I need to replace my fronts amps for the second time also. This time I am running new wiring to the speakerboxes that will support a aftermarket speaker with no amp. Getting rid of the Bose and updating to system that includes a radio with a MP3 player, iPod device. I think I can access the door wiring by opening the door and removing the rubber groment that contains the door wiring. Just run a set of high quality speakerwires and run them through the speakerboxes. NO MORE AMP RELPACEMENT, ever. While the box is out you may be able to cut the speaker hole to hold a speaker bigger than 4 inches.

amplifier replacement
Finished about 3pm replacing the amplifier. I did break something. The little white plasitc thing that holds two wires asociated with the door panel light came apart. Eklers sells a new one for $24.99.
