Muffler tip cleaning!! D:

Ok, so my stepdada gave me his old 93 vette. they've owned it since it was new. anyways... i like new things, im TRYing to clean it up to make it as clean as possible. and im stuck now at the muffler tips. s you know they arent chrome or anything. but i just wanna get all the black off and try to shine them. any tips??

i have! its working. even broke out the drill. but that shine just isnt there. and where they're welded together is hard to get into

You will get it clean but it may not shine. If you really want it to shine then buy some stainless steel or chrome exhaust tips.

If it's not chrome or polished aluminum it's probably not going to have a high shine to it.

Try "Bar Keepers Friend" or "Bon Ami". It will not scratch. They both work great on glass, too.
DO NOT use Comet or the like.

You could also buy some VERY fine emery cloth.

Tips on a '93 aren't chrome or aluminum. They won't "polish up".

Paint 'em flat black, or wire brush them to a sheen, then clear coat them.

This is "Performance/Tech"??? Yikes.
