Default fuel injector choice

my new motor needs fuel injectors...we found some reasonably priced rebuilts that are flow tested n such.

Factory I believe are 22lb.

24lb. injectors are available for little extra cost.

Would I have to have ecu altered to run the 24lb?
Is it worth the hassle?
Would it smog.

Do you recommend just staying w stock rated injectors?

Motor is pretty much all stock.

Thank you for any help.

What would you hope to achieve by running larger injectors on a stock engine;
the engine can only use so much fuel ?
and the 22's were installed by the factory for a reason.

And yes;
if you change the injector size you need a retune

simply testing the waters.
chose to keep the rebuild 98% stock for the same reason as well
if there were proven advantages I wanted to hear about them.

I will more than likely purchase the 22# injectors. Should run better on all 8 cyl. cant wait to see how it runs after the install.
