So I have my intake off and I noticed there is no EGR port in the passenger side head on my 88. As I recall, my 87 had the port. Should it be there? Aftermarket heads? Engine? I hope not, I was hoping this one was all factory.

AFAIK if there's no EGR port, it is not a factory head.

I'm sure someone else will chime in if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure corvette aluminum heads have no exhaust crossover in them. I believe the egr gets exhaust from a pipe to the exhaust manifold.

just re-read your post and you say the pass side doesn't have the port. What about the driver head? If the driver head has the port that's strange, I'd check head casting numbers then.

I looked at an 88' I have here and it has the lower EGR pipe attached to a port on the pass side.

Are you talking about the pipe from the exaust manifold or the port in the center of the head?

No port on either side.

Yea that makes sense, like I said before I don't believe factory aluminum heads have that port.
